2019 ElevateHER Crawl — xoNecole Recap

The first annual ElevateHER Crawl, hosted by xoNecole and presented by Toyota Corolla, took place on August 3, 2019 at the Mason Fine Arts Gallery in Atlanta. Over 700 women attended, making it a packed, high-energy event celebrating Black, female entrepreneurs.

Purpose and Theme Founded by media change agent Necole Kane, xoNecole launched ElevateHER to spotlight the fastest-growing economic force in the U.S. — Black women entrepreneurs — and to create a space for networking, empowerment, and community building.

Event Highlights Networking & Marketplace: The “Boss Babes Link Up” wall allowed attendees to post what they needed and what they offered, fostering direct business connections.

Curated Retail Pop-Up: Over 25 women-owned brands were featured, including Melissa Butler’s The Lip Bar, LaKeasha Brown’s 1987 Juices, Candice Cox’s CanDid Art, Charline Shelby’s Fabulina Designs, Tay Watts’ Posh Candle Co., Olori Swank’s Swank Blue, and Cee Cee’s Closet NYC.

Panel Discussions:  Keynotes and panels covered career growth, media representation, and business strategy. Speakers included: Ezinne Kwubiri (H&M Head of Inclusion & Diversity) Pauleanna Reid (Forbes Senior Contributor) Christina Rice (OMNoire founder) Tamisha Harris (CNN/HLN producer) Janell Stephens (Camille Rose Naturals founder) Alicia Scott (RANGE Beauty founder) Shavonne Riggins (Curlkalon founder) Dr. Key Hallmon (Village Market ATL) Will Packer (Hollywood producer)

Activities & Entertainment:  Henna art, DIY beauty stations, light bites, specialty cocktails (Baileys & Crown Royal), and DJ Traci Steele kept the energy high.

Atmosphere The event blended lifestyle empowerment with business networking,  creating an Instagram-worthy, community-driven environment. Attendees described it as both a professional networking conference and a vibrant social gathering xoNecole. Impact

ElevateHER aimed to empower, connect, and deliver opportunities for women of color entrepreneurs, with plans to expand to new markets The Hype Magazine+1. In short: The 2019 ElevateHER Crawl was a celebration of Black female entrepreneurship, combining retail, panels, networking, and cultural activities in one empowering experience.
